President’s Message

Roxann C. Cooke, President
Roxann C. Cooke, President

Welcome to the official website of the South Middlesex County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  Our chapter’s service area is comprised of communities in the South Middlesex County of Metro West, Massachusetts. I am honored and humbled to serve as our chapter’s 15th President.

Our chapter is affectionately known as the “little chapter with a big heart” because of our uncompromising commitment to social advocacy and for delivering impactful public service programs in the Metro West communities. Our sisterhood is comprised of approximately forty dynamic women who advocate for and implement measurable programming focused on our Sorority’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust:

  • Educational Development
  • Economic Development
  • International Awareness and Development
  • Physical and Mental Health
  • Political Awareness and Involvement

Our Sorority’s biennium theme is an Uncompromising Commitment to Communities: Service, Leadership and Empowerment.  Our advocacy work and mission is as critical today as it was 103 years ago when our 22 trailblazing Founders established our Sorority and 35 years ago when our 16 dynamic Charter Members established our chapter. My goal as President is to continue our legacy of social advocacy against injustices and inequities by collaborating with Unconventional Networks to Implement Targeted Empowerment and Development (UNITED) programs.

Please join the members of the South Middlesex County Alumnae Chapter as we become UNITED in our uncompromising commitment to serving, leading and empowering our local, national and global communities.

Humbly Yours,
Roxann C. Cooke
